It’s too cold outside today so the picture is an old image from last autumn. Somebody asked about the photos that we have here on the site and they are actually just snapshots of our surroundings.
A new little feature at Stockholm Mastering: We are now including a small pdf together with the mastered files. This document contains both general and more specific comments about the sound and tweaks, as well as examples of clicks and noises that we have cleaned up. The response so far has been very positive.
The Check Your Master app that we programmed for you works fine in Firefox but needs updating for Chrome and Safari. Usually the world of mastering is really opened up when you listen in a certain kind of way. The app and the mastering notes are tools to make it easier for you to assess the master and communicate your preferences and adjustments with more confidence.
From February 26 we will update our rates and remove the album price. This change will mostly target the extra work that has been going uncharged until now when it comes to long albums.
Delivery times at the moment are 2-3 weeks for albums. If you’re planning to master your record with us, it’s a good idea to give us a heads-up to make sure that we can meet your deadline.
Congratulations to Agnes Darelid and Sture Kvintett who have been nominated to the Swedish Grammy awards (Grammis) in the Jazz and Children’s category. Two beautiful records!
